Welt. Unter dem Namen J.D. Robb veröffentlicht sie seit
Jahren ebenso erfolgreich Kriminalromane.
wegzudenke
Ein
feuriger Verehrer
Loyalty in Death (Death 09) Oktober 2005
New Yorker Mordkommission wirklich fürchtet.
Industriellen Roarke – ihrem eigenen Mann …
Spiel
mit dem Mörder
Witness in Death (Death 10) April 2006
Denn natürlich setzt Eve alles daran, diesen Fall besonders
schnell zu lösen. Gehört das Theater doch schließlich
ihrem Mann, dem geheimnisumwitterten irischen Geschäftsmann
Roarke.
Judgment
in Death
When a police officer is found bludgeoned to death in an uptown
strip joint, NYPD Lieutenant Eve Dallas discovers a private
club called Purgatory in which clients are given a chance
for atonement, everyone is judged, and one man's sins could
spell damnation for the innocent.
Betrayal
in Death
When Darlene French, a maid at the Roarke Palace Hotel, is
brutally beaten, raped, and strangled with a silver wire,
Eve is at a loss to explain the apparently professional nature
of the murder. Who would hire a hit man to kill such an ordinary
woman? As she and her team of detectives (with a little grudgingly
accepted help from Roarke, whose money, name, and talents
can dig up a wealth of information) investigate the evidence,
they find themselves in pursuit of Sylvester Yost, a vicious
hired gun who's made millions in his bloody pursuit of career
excellence. But it isn't until more victims appear that Eve
realises Yost's real target is Roarke himself. To discover
the driving force behind the murderous campaign, Eve and Roarke
will have to delve into their own pasts, which holds secrets
and terrors for them both.
Seduction
in Death
Eve is on the trail of a serial killer--or maybe killers--who
stalks young women looking for love in online poetry chat
rooms. Once a romantic date has been arranged, the murderer
sets the scene with roses, champagne, and candlelight, then
serves his unsuspecting victims a lethal combination of date-rape
drugs that takes them to the height of pleasure and too far
beyond. But this killer is really clever, altering his look
to become each victim's dream date. What a nightmare! Detective
Dallas is on the case, chasing an anonymous psychopath with
a twisted taste in romance. But Eve seems a little more fragile
this time around, still plagued by the nightmare of childhood
abuse. Is retirement from the business of crime solving in
the near future for Detective Dallas?
Reunion
in Death
For this round, their objective is to take down a woman Eve
arrested 10 years ago, a poisoner named Julianna Dunne. Julianna's
out on parole, and now rich old men are dying sudden deaths.
What's more, the ex-con wants to exact a little revenge on
her one-time adversary. Eve's search for Dunne takes her all
over the country, and eventually to Dallas, Tex., the city
that gave her both her name and a legacy of violent nightmares.

Purity
in Death
"A sick computer can and does infect other computers,
but not its operator," claims Roarke, dreamboat husband
of New York's hotshot futuristic cop, Lieutenant Eve Dallas,
in the 15th installment in Robb's `Death' series (after Reunion
in Death). Roarke's theory is put to the test when pedophiles
and drug dealers begin dying from a computer-generated virus
that literally blows the mind of its victims. It doesn't take
long for Eve to figure out that a vigilante terrorist organization
with superior tech knowledge is meting out its own form of
justice the group even leaves the message "absolute purity
achieved" on victims' computer screens. Pinpointing the
group is more of a challenge. Suspects could be anyone from
members of the justice system to formerly abused children,
the latter of which strikes a personal and painful nerve in
Eve, who was abused as a child.

Portrait
in Death
Lieutenant Eve Dallas may live in 2059, but she's still a
recognizable Manhattan police officer: mouthy, courageous,
skeptical and impatient. In Roberts's latest In Death novel
(after Purity in Death), she's charged with finding a killer
who murders young people full of innocence and promise, photographs
them after death, then taunts both a top reporter and Dallas
herself with notes about his handiwork. Just as her investigation
of Manhattan's clubs and colleges nears its peak, Eve's husband,
the wealthy entrepreneur Roarke, discovers that his mother
is not the cold abandoner he remembers, but a tender young
Irishwoman whom his father brutally murdered. While he struggles
to understand his heritage, the couple must navigate stormy
marital waters.
